Mapmaker's Guide to Hawai'i - Lead designer, producer

Map Maker's Guide to Hawai'i was the outcome of a 4-week project to create an educational game for elementary school students. For this project, I led design for and acted as the producer of a 6-person team of designers, programmers, and artists.

In Map Maker's Guide, you play as a decolonized navigator, trying to use your mapping skills to change the way we look at Hawai'i, from the perspective of the native people as opposed to the colonizers. In each section, the player is tasked with mapping a path that can connect the native people to important landmarks, resources, or events.

After they've finished mapping, the player can click on the things they've connected to learn more about them and their connection to the Hawaiian people.

Agent CR41g - solo Developer

Agent CR41G is a solo development Unity game about a robotic superspy, on their final mission.

This project pushed me to experiment with many skill sets I hadn't learned before - shader graphs, timelines and complex animations, cutscenes and Cinemachine, and more.

Most importantly, this project taught me the importance of putting time into my game's core tools so that repeated implementation can be made much easier. For the first three weeks of the project, I built three core tools - a tool for player hacking and enemy distraction, a tool for timeline and animation control, and a tool for dialogue.

Once these were done, I spent the final week using those systems to implement tons of content all over the game. It went from barren to jam-packed with content before my eyes.

Agent CR41G was built in Unity using Ink Dialogue Integration.
